On Saturday, we went to watch Dominee's tennis match (which she won) and then on to Bury St. Edmonds.
This was our first stop in Bury St. Edmonds so I could eat a Cornish pasty. Oh so yummy! It is much like a popover but filled with meat, potatoes and vegetables.
We took Isaiah with us but he was a little bored. This is a town that they visit often because of their neat shopping and street market on Saturdays.
The original abbey was built in the 1300's and the ruins are stilll visible today. The sign above this gate states that the gate was destroyed in 1327 and rebuilt in 1347.
